Cade’s Day
March 2026
You are not alone. Help is always available. You are worth it. 988
Mental health matters every day. That is why we’re focusing on suicide prevention—raising awareness, reducing stigma, and reminding everyone that help and hope are always available. Reaching out can save lives, including your own. Remember, if you see something, say something! February was an action packed month of awareness and advocacy!
HB 2665, CADE’S LAW, ARIZONA STATE CAPITOL
With the support of our family, community, friends, and our District 4 Representative Pamela Carter, our House Bill 2665, Cade’s Law, was presented and voted on before the committee at the Arizona Capitol. This Bill is designed to protect our youth on social media platforms, holding adults accountable if they view suicidal dialogue and do not report it. Like you, we are thrilled that IT PASSED! We anxiously await the next step, for the Senate to pass.

NEW WELDING BUILDING, MESA COMMUNITY COLLEGE
After several years of planning, we are well on the way of planning and designing the new Welding Lab at Mesa Community College, where Cade was attending Welding. At over 30,000 square feet, this will undoubtedly be the premier Welding facility in the nation. What makes this state of the art, is that it will not only include all Welding certifications, but it will serve the whole Welder and their wellness. The program is designed to include Welding certifications, mental health services, food support for those with food scarcity, clothing closet for interviews or work, a gear closet including hoods, jackets, jeans, boots etc., and a robust resource center including financial planning, learning workshops, and more! Please be sure to join us for our official ribbon caution ceremony April 17, 2026!

CORONADO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Megan enjoyed a wonderful morning of community and comradery with fellow Coronado business owners and community members with the Coronado Chamber of Commerce (www.coronadochamber.com) . This gathering was graciously hosted by our friends at Strength In Service, which provides mental health support, career opportunities for active-duty service members, veterans, military spouses, and their families. It was a wonderful morning of sharing our organizations, our goals for the year, and collaboration opportunities to help one another thrive. Brian and I look forward to the opportunity to sharing CADE’S DAY incredible partner, NASCAR’S DANIEL DYE, and his Race to Stop Suicide.

DAYTONA 500: DAYTONA, FLORIDA
We continue to celebrate the collaboration with NASCAR’S DRIVER Daniel Dye, and Race to Stop Suicide (www.racetostopsuicide.com) and (www.danieldyeracing.com). We had an incredible experience at the DAYTONA 500, in Daytona, Florida to celebrate the opening season with Daniel Dye’s family. As they say, this is the super bowl of races, or said another way, having the final exam on the first day of school! It was an monumental event with over 160,000 fans! Daniel is off to a tremendous season, and we look forward to seeing him at NASCAR PHOENIX March 6, 2026!

AMERICAN FOUNDATION FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION DAY AT THE CAPITOL
We joined our fellow members of American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (www.afsp.org) advocacy day at the Arizona State Capitol. Did you know that Mental Health America ranked Arizona 50th in the nation for overall access to care and mental health outcomes? We represented three critical Bills: HB 2559 Behavioral health services and insurance coverage, HB 2685 Appropriation for K-12 mental health/tele health, and HB 2603 Veterans mental health through mobile service units. With hopeful hearts, we anxiously wait for these Bills to pass with unanimous YES!

CORONADO ROTARY: WORKSHOPS FOR WARRIORS
This week at our ROTARY CLUB OF CORONADO (www.coronadorotary.org) meeting, we were proud to support a fellow Rotarian, guest speaker, and our CADE’S DAY CORONADO partner, WORKSHOPS FOR WARRIORS (www.wfw.org)! Hernan Luis y Prado, president and founder, provides veterans, transitioning service members, and civilians training in welding and machining through a 16-week accelerated certification program. This full and complete training in technical trades truly set the student up for solid and meaningful work upon completion. One hundred percent of funds raised at CADE’S DAY CORONADO are to scholarship Welding students at WSW. We are thrilled to have two graduates in 2025, and more on the way! Be sure to save the date for the Workshops for Warriors Gala on the USS Midway, April 25, 2026!
