CADE’S DAY LEGISLATIVE PROCLAMATION AND HB 2665, CADE’S LAW
March 10, 2026 we were honored with a Legislative Proclamation, IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING, from the State of Arizona. Our District 4 Representative PAMELA CARTER presented this award of Highest Distinction on the floor at the House of Representatives. Additionally, our House Bill 2665, Cade’s Law, was presented, voted on before the House of Representatives, and passed with a HUGE majority! We have been through the same process on the Senate side and have PASSED all steps unanimously. We are anxiously awaiting the Senate Floor hearing, where it will be the final vote, and then to Arizona’s Governor Hobbs to sign in to law. This Bill is designed to protect our youth on social media platforms, holding adults accountable if they view suicidal dialogue and do not report it.

NASCAR PHOENIX AT PHOENIX RACEWAY
A great time was had by all at NASCAR Phoenix, at Phoenix Raceway! We enjoyed three nights of camping fun with the community and showcasing our new “mobile billboard”! With the help from our partners at Daytona Dodge in Florida, our new ride features our Partners and Recipients of the Cade Keller Memorial Fund, as well as our NASCAR partner DANIEL DYE, and Race To Stop Suicide.

CHASSE CONSTRUCTION & MESA COMMUNITY COLLEGE WELDING BUILD
The ribbon cutting is set for April 17th, 2026! We are thrilled to announce our building contractor, Chasse Building Team in Phoenix, along with SmithGroup Design! At over 30,000 square feet, this will undoubtably be the premier Welding facility in the nation. What makes this state of the art, is that it will not only include all Welding certifications, but it will serve the whole Welder and their wellness. The program is designed to include Welding certifications, mental health services, food support for those with food scarcity, clothing closet for interviews or work, a gear closet including hoods, jackets, jeans, boots etc., and a robust resource center including financial planning, learning workshops, and more! We enjoyed joining the Chasse Building Team at HIKE FOR HOPE, a hike at Papago Park in Phoenix for awareness and prevention efforts for the Construction industry. FUN FACT: Barry Chasse, pictured below at Chasse Building in Phoenix, is also our neighbor in Coronado!

CORONADO ROTARY GOLF TOURNAMENT
Cade’s Day was proud to sponsor our fellow Rotarians in the 30th Annual Coronado Rotary Club Charity Golf Tourney, March 13th. Our tournament was an afternoon of fun Rotarian spirit with 18 holes that supporters showed their spirit for important causes to our community, including Cade’s Day! Cade’s Day was the proud sponsor of hole #10, which welcomed golfers with our signature efforts of relaying our prevention and awareness efforts for our community, including opportunity for throwing some bags at cornhole while they awaited their tee off. One hundred percent of our funds raised in Coronado are contributed to our partner, Workshops for Warriors, for Welding certifications for Veterans! We had a blast with local favorites, like the team from PAWS as well as Coronado’s Mayor, John Duncan and Co!

CADE’S DAY AT FAST LANE DRIVE, COMRADERIE AND CARS
We enjoyed the March Rally with Fast Lane Drive (FLD), hosted at our partners at UNITE HAIR! The breakfast and rally were more than just supercars, it was a gathering of like-minded members that also emphasize the ethos IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING! After a robust breakfast, presentation from Brian and me, the group launched on their four-hour drive to Roosevelt Lake, with radios to let others know of conditions on the road! Another wonderful group to be embraced by, supporting a cause that is deeply important to humankind. Thank you, again, FLD, for your generosity!

PRESENTATIONS TO NEW WELDING STUDENTS
March marked the start for three new Welding courses at Mesa Community College (where Cade was attending). We presented to the Cohorts, telling Cade’s story, as well as imploring the call to action: “lift up your hood…check in on one another…IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING”, as well as inform students of the scholarship opportunities. To date, we are proud to have awarded 115 scholarships to Welding students at MCC! We are so proud to announce that 20 students have been funded to participate in Cade’s Day Cornhole Tournament! Be sure to introduce yourselves to these fine trades people that our Country so desperately needs.

988: LAYING DIMES, BREW DAY AT OHSO
Bret Waters, Master Brewer at OHSO, started his advocacy over a decade ago. He is the creator and founder of the 988 beer, which has been created and distributed nationwide in various establishments to support suicide prevention and awareness. Bret, as well as our partner, OHSO, have expanded their advocacy in the past five years, creating an exclusive brew, 988: LAYING DIMES. “Laying dimes” is an expression Welder’s use for what is a “perfect weld”. This libation is created every year to be served at Cade’s Day, in honor of Cade’s passion he had for Welding and the trade. Additionally, Bret joined Coronado Brewing Company in San Diego for a custom brew for the Coronado Community to celebrate NASCAR CORONADO, and our partner with our NASCAR and The Race To Stop Suicide. This will be on tap at various locations on Island during the race in June!

WFW is a San Diego based outfit that provides accelerated training in advance manufacturing (Welding and Machining) for Veterans, service members, and other students, leading them to high demand careers and meaningful employment.
